Organization Discusses Mormonism

February 7, 2005 -- The Mormon Truth Alliance has started a website, which they say will offer a balanced view about the church, officially known as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

The founder, Michael Crook of Syracuse, New York said, "The website offers another view of church history and calls attention to the fact that the church's own scriptures contradict each other."

Also on the website are forums where users of all faiths, including members of the LDS church, may engage in meaningful and civil debate and discussion. The website also offers a section for members of the LDS church to defend their faith.

Crook emphasised that this is not a hate site. "We will not tolerate threats or encouragement of violence or any form of harrassment or illegal acts towards anyone, regardless of their faith.", he said.
